Dawn Krantz has been a Real Estate Professional since 1977. She is a very energetic, optimistic and hardworking Realtor. Dawn is very proud of the many awards that she has won both in business and real estate, including but not limited to, receiving Top 7 Realtor in Austin in 2004, Top 25 Realtor in 2003, #1 Realtor in Lake Travis (2003-2005), Austin Business Woman of the Year, and the prestigious award from Inc. Magazine, nominated as Retailer of the Year.
In the early 1980’s Dawn became involved in commercial real estate sales and development. Along with her partners, she developed Watersedge, a high-end gated, luxury residential project on Lake Austin. During her involvement with Watersedge she learned to work with the multitude of Austin agencies involved in the building and development process.
From 1985 through 2000, Dawn dove into the entertainment industry as one of the most successful independent video retailers with a chain of rental stores. In addition, she also ran a chain of music stores that operated throughout the United States. She did this while simultaneously serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Video Retailers Association, an association representing over 30,000 retailers worldwide and all of the major motion picture studios. She was also responsible for organizing and implementing the largest convention serving the entertainment industry.
Through her real estate career, Dawn has continually been involved with many residential development projects both in Houston and Austin. In 2004 Dawn closed the largest land deal in Travis County in a decade involving 2,259 acres now being developed as Sweetwater on Hwy 71 in Bee Cave. She understands the most critical aspects of developing a project, construction of a home and then the marketing and selling of that home and/or project.
